Event Information

The Asian energy industry is rapidly growing, with India and China taking the lead. The ELECRAMA comes at a crucial time to engage leaders of the industry. KEMA Laboratories is the world’s most trusted and fully independent Testing, Inspection and Certification body with more than 90 years of industry experience.

To meet its predicted economic growth levels of more than 8%, India will require an additional generating capacity of 80,000MW every five years. To cope with this increased capacity, India has already upgraded its transmission voltage to 765kV AC, which means installing a large number of 765kV transformers. It has also commissioned an experimental 1200kV AC line (the world's highest transmission voltage). In our recently extended High-Power Lab in Arnhem, the Netherlands we test and certify circuit breakers up to 1200kV and power transformers up to 800kV class.

Bas Verhoeven, Director Global Business Development and Innovation of DNV GL KEMA Laboratories will be a panelist on 11 March, during Day 1 of the World Utility Summit. He will be speaking in the Keynote 3 & Plenary 3 titled Racing with technologies.

We will be present at stand H1 F22 in Hall 1. Our experts will be able to share about our KEMA Laboratories services, newly released Energy Transition Outlook report, and our Smart Cable Guard online monitoring system.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss the changes facing the Asian market and how we can help your business. We will be available to share with you about how testing your equipment in our world-class laboratories will open the doors for a global acceptance.
